Ken Cox MA RCA Is a London-based illustrator. His work extends across the media, covering national newspapers, magazines, books, audio publishing and advertising.
In Iconopix, Ken Cox subverts the form of vintage American comic books with multi-layered screen prints that reflect precoccupations with time, love and loss incorporating resonant word, quotes and phrases.
The pics are all screenprinted over collage using vintage American comic books as a foundation mixed with speech bubbles and quotations to create a new context plus other found images and hand drawn and painted (acrylic) work.
Ken is a professional illustrator, fine artist and musician with his own Jazz Combo 'Blues Set'.
