Peter Ryder

Peter trained as a plasterer. He studied English at University College, London.

Technique:

He works in clay, then the piece is transferred into either metal or metal resin. Peter uses a range of patinations developed over the years to bring out individual characteristics of any given piece. His works are free standing and bas-relief, with some mounted on selected wood.

Photography and popular music of the 20th Century has made a deep impression, shaping his belief that his fundamental desire is to express individual personality.
